In 2022, Iranian visual artist Behnaz Monfared joined Peace Museum Vienna for an inspiring art residency that gave birth to the Windows for Peace project. Her thought-provoking artworks, displayed in the windows at Blutgasse, transformed the space into a quiet yet powerful call for reflection, dialogue, and hope.
These windows became more than just a showcase—they invited passersby to pause, to learn about Vienna’s peace movements, and to imagine a more compassionate world. With every image, Behnaz created more space for peace in the heart of the city, turning everyday streets into places of connection and awareness.
